Special Events of South Park
The South Park Secret--"where neighbors become friends"--is
evident as we live, work and play together.
Rehabarama!! Dayton's
famed "Rehabarama" is returning to South Park in 2007! In 2001,
five houses were rehabbed, and three new in-fill
houses were constructed, with all homes sold to owner-occupants.
This year, plans include the complete restoration of 8-12 homes
for the Rehabarama show that are currently vacant and distressed.
There is also the potential for infill construction on vacant lots.
Total investment in the show homes is expected to approach $2 million.
Show homes have been acquired and will be located on multiple streets in Historic South Park.
Neighbors It's been a well-kept secret, but the word is out. The old-style
neighborhood of your childhood is alive and well and you are reading about it
right now. It is a place where neighbors take daytime and evening
walks on the sidewalks, and gather informally on porches and in front yards each summer night.
Neighbors drop by frequently and many don't knock! In South Park, we
know each other. Neighbors can be counted on like family. Neighbors working and playing
together foster the magic of South Park.
Charm South Park's old-fashioned charm is reaching beyond the neighborhood and
pulling new neighbors in at a record pace. Demand for homes in the
neighborhood now exceeds the supply so the secret is out... there is magic
in South Park and it's all year round!
