Earth Day 2021 was a little different. Participants still got a free t-shirt, free pizza and the chance to win prizes, but this year the earth friendly celebration lasted all weekend. There was a dog walk and poo pickup on Friday evening, the annual Trashenger Hunt on Saturday (or whatever day worked best for neighbors and friends, due to the rainy weather), and a bicycle parade on Sunday to promote clean energy transportation! The result, as you can see in the photo, was a huge pile of trash cleaned out of our streets and alleys. And the sun came out! Great job everyone! A special shout-out to our pickup truck drivers, Phillip Neumann, Mike Regnier and Damian Morris. Thanks to Kate Ervin for the map!
Huge thanks to our annual Earth Day coordinator, Courtney Colborn and her team, and fundraiser for the event, David Esrati of The Next Wave who raised $1600 through t-shirt sponsorships!
Thank you to all our generous sponsors, whose logos are on our t-shirts!
