Have you heard about the Downtown Dayton Plan? If not, please take seven minutes to enjoy this video. It features Dr. Mike Ervin, a citizen volunteer with a vision, who has been Co-Chair of the Great Downtown Dayton Plan for the last two years. The plan is to broaden the idea of “downtown” to include the University of Dayton, Miami Valley Hospital, the Oregon District and–of course–Historic South Park! Dr. Ervin describes the progress being made, the monies being gathered and the overall vision of having all of us in Downtown connected in a campus-like manner, for walkable, bikable access between home, work, school and activities. It’s pretty exciting to know things are progressing in such a tough economy!
