The March 25th meeting minutes were approved.
The Treasurer’s report was submitted.
HSPI committee leaders made their reports.
Neighborhood announcements
1.) Please be cautious in around the 600 block of Warren Street, a vagrant whose name is Omar and is violent and people should not approach him, please call the police if you see him entering private property.
2.) Traffic is generally better at Emerson Academy (501 Hickory) thanks to the new drop-off and bus pickup patterns designed to move traffic congestion from Hickory to Buckeye Street. The exception is late student arrivals, who must be dropped off at Hickory Street. So cars are still clogging the street in front of the school in the mornings, but it is not as bad as before.
3.) Galen will be doing the annual Woodland Cemetery History Walk at 10 AM on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26). We’ll visit the graves of four South Park Improvement Council members who improved the neighborhood green spaces that we know today.
4.) Please come to downtown Dayton on May 31 for the Small Biz Blitz/Art Walk! This will be a celebration of small businesses and a way to drive more foot traffic and patronage to our newly beautified streets after the NATO May 23-26 visit is concluded.
