Two signature events brought many people to Historic South Park to enjoy the talents of our neighbors this year: Shakespeare in South Park’s outdoor summer theater “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and the Murder Mystery Home Tour’s interactive event, “Trigger Mortis:.A Gangster’s Revenge.” Thank you to the many hardworking friendly volunteers who made it all possible and another warm welcome to all of you who came to South Park for perhaps the first time. Because we still remember we were a once blighted and forgotten neighborhood, we know we wouldn’t be where we are today if people hadn’t taken a chance on us.
While the financial returns on both events were impressive, the sheer enjoyment of the events themselves and the camaraderie built among a large group of volunteers can’t really be measured. For all this, we are insanely grateful.
Looking ahead to Fall/Winter 2023/24
Come to our next neighborhood meeting, Tuesday, Oct 24, 7-8 pm, Hope Lutheran Church (500 Hickory, enter from the parking lot). Inform yourself and ask questions. You’re invited to stay after and mingle.
