nd your family are invited to Soccer Social Sundays. Held 10am-12N every Sunday in Burns Jackson Park until it gets too cold, this family event is for all ages and skill levels, and is coached by a former soccer pro! How great is that?
South Park Soccer Social Sundays was created primarily for fun and making friends, but also to give neighborhood kids a healthy physical outlet–especially those that don’t have a lot of adult guidance at home.
Get to know our South Park youngsters. It’s just as important as meeting our adult neighbors at Porch/Deck&Patio parties. It builds community feeling and the awareness that we are all responsible for each other in this crazy quilt of a South Park family.
Thank you to South Park business, The Next Wave, for spearheading, coordinating and helping fund this effort, along with help from generous friends and the South Park neighborhood association. Burns Jackson Park is behind Emerson Academy, on the west end of the big green space. Bring a friend or send your neighbor’s kids down to the Park this Sunday. Move it! Move it! Move that ball!
