Wayne Avenue Traffic Safety Coalition: Community Update
WATSC recently held a media event at Ghostlight Coffee. It was attended by business and education leaders, City of Dayton commissioners and staff, Dayton traffic engineers, and concerned neighbors. We commemorated the loss of Jennifer Johnson, struck and killed by speeding driver at Wayne and Clover.
New houses, townhomes and flats coming to South Park
Developers plan to buildĀ 63 flatĀ units, 15 townhomes and 10 single-family homes just east of the Flats at South Park. Attend Plan Board meeting July 10 and 11 to ask questions, share concerns.
Emerson Academy submits plan to solve years of traffic headaches on Hickory Street
Update: Members who attended our June 27 meeting asked Emerson Academy to submit a different idea, one they previously considered, using Buckeye Street and the current bus turnaround for private vehicle access.
Trash pick-up switches to Tuesdays
Beginning the week of March 27, 2023, most South Park garbage will be collected on Tuesday, not Wednesday.
